Allium atropurpureum is a striking ornamental onion with deep reddish-purple blooms that flower in May and June. Its sturdy stems reach a height of 60 to 80 cm and attract plenty of butterflies and bees. It pairs beautifully with Allium nigrum due to their similar height and flower shape. This allium adds structure to your garden and also makes a great cut flower.
